One of the key reasons behind using the VPN is to protect privacy while using public Wi-Fi. Every year, there is around a $4.5 billion year-over-year increase. As per the market predictions, this figure will reach $31.1 billion. In 2016, the VPN industry was at the mark of $15.64 billion. Since 2016, the global VPN market has been experiencing a constant surge. If the Google search pattern is to be followed, the term “VPN” and “virtual private network” search doubled up after the beginning of the pandemic. The outbreak of the pandemic, COVID-19, increased the use of VPNs. Almost 75% of VPN users in the US belong to this age group only. VPN is most famous amongst the 45-60 age group. 36% of users admit to using it almost every day, considering they must use the best VPN 2020 solutions that are safe. A recent Statista study conducted in 2020 on US and UK VPN users revealed that 41% of VPN users use it once a week. 
In the US alone, there are around 142 million VPN users. If the US scenario is concerned, every two in three internet users have used a VPN at some point. 31% of global internet users take the help of a VPN.
